DC Fly-In

Our Annual President's Council DC Fly-In will take place from Monday April 8 through Wednesday April 10, 2019. 

From understanding our top legislative priorities to getting an in-depth look at our FIU, Washington D.C. office, the DC Fly-In is an immersive President's Council experience.

The fly-in will offer our President's Council members an opportunity to learn about FIU's advocacy efforts, a chance to interact with students, explore our top national initiatives and priorities, and engage with our DC partners and alumni.

  • Day 1: April 8
    Morning- Arrival and check into hotel

    Office space available all day for President’s Council members

    Location: FIU in DC

    10:30 a.m. Transfer to legislative meetings            
    11:00 a.m. Lunch on the Hill with key staff and possible member meetings

    Lunch with Chiefs of Staff or top congressional staff and individual meetings with new delegation members (TBD)

    2:30 p.m.  Transfer to FIU in DC 
    3:00 p.m. Public-Private CyberSecurity Partnership: FIU, NIST, and New America

Our 3,500 square-foot state-of-the-art venue at 440 1st Street NW is located a few short blocks from the U.S. Capitol and has multiple spaces available for co-working, reservation and event use, with priority preference for alumni donors and corporate partners.
